12 International Bucket-List Destinations

Faroe Islands

Located neatly in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean between Norway, Iceland, and the UK, the Faroe Islands are a self-governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Made up of 18 islands, most commonly known for volcanic mountains, coastal cliffside and grassy valleys. Wanting to drive along the coastline and hike the collection of unique landscapes.

Lapland, Finland (Kakslauttanen Resort)

Igloos watching the Northern Lights in a true Winter wonderland is a dream. The ability to embrace the bitter cold in a desolate subarctic wilderness is incomparable. It has been a long bucket-list adventure to spend time with sled dogs and explore the surroundings.

Six Senses Laamu, Maldives

The Maldives Luxury Resort has become cliché, but so cliché it is a staple on a bucket-list. Located deep in the India Ocean, you will need to take a puddle-jumper flight to get here. Your picturesque over the water bungalows are in a lagoon with sandy shoreline where dolphins surround you. A dream that we intend on visiting.

Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam

The rice fields in Asia have exploded, Bali being most popular, Vietnam is another destination that has fields that create some of the world’s most green landscapes in the world. Mu Cang Chai is a mountainous district about 280 km from Hanoi. In each season of harvest, this isolated region in the north of Vietnam welcomes thousands of visitors from all over the country. August to October is known to be the best time to visit.

&beyond Phinda Reserve, South Africa

This private Game Reserve is known for its abundant wildlife, diversity of habitats and wide range of safari activities. Known for creating the safari experience more cultural and intimate, the opportunity to truly immerse with the community and wildlife is forever a dream. Luxury glamping, superior lodging and private journeys in Africa right off the India Ocean.

Seychelles Islands

Northeast of Madagascar in the India Ocean, the 115 islands are home to some of the most incredible, lightly trailed beaches. Much of the island remains wild, home to forests and wildlife. Private islands and room to roam is the perfect escape.

NambiRand Nature Reserve, Namibia

A private nature reserve in Southwestern Namibia in the Namib Desert.

Whitsundays, Australia

The ultimate escape, awaiting our arrival. Made up of 74 Islands located between the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef, here lies a massive stretch of white sand beaches with marine life. Most of the islands are uninhabited. These islands are characterized by dense rainforest, hiking trails, and white sand beaches.

Rottnest Island, Australia

Off the city of Perth on the western side of the continent. Shallow blue waters and white sand beaches surround the island. A car-free zone, this is the ultimate beach escape, 63 beaches total. The cutest animal, quokka, call this place home.

King George Island, Antarctica

This island is located furthest north and closest to South America. King George is one of the more popular destinations for travelers alike. The chance to see a continent barely touched by humans is a life-changing experience I imagine. This is where the only hotel stands on the entire continent. Unfamiliar with the area, anywhere sounds like a bucket-list destination.

Hallstatt, Austria (Summer)

A village made up of cafes and shops, set in the mountains on the lake, with a railroad running through it. Straight out of a movie. This being Austria’s oldest and possibly most photographed village, it doesn’t stop us from wanting to go. The ability to experience the beauty of the Alps on a long-distance trail is the goal.

Kitzbühel, Austria (Winter)

Where luxury and alpine charm meet, some say Kitzbuhel holds the best ski conditions in the world. Shops and cafes line the streets in the so-called fashionable winter town. It sounds like a perfect place to ski for the first time.
